Wow- can you believe the first month of 2010 is almost over?! Time just goes so quickly! Let's hope that the groundhog cooperates with us this year! I just keep on thinking spring!!!!

Random Volunteer Fact:

According to the NSGVP: Just over two thirds (68%) of volunteers said that volunteering helped them to develop better communication skills Sixty three percent reported increased knowledge about issues related to their volunteering.

At the end of each month we choose a winner for our Take a Volunteer to Lunch Program. This month, the Volunteer Center would like to congratulate our January 2010 Take a Volunteer to Lunch winners Julie Griffin & Cindy Roberts. They will receive a lunch for two at Sgt. Preston’s. They founded the SuperStars Social Club which provides social opportunities for teens with disabilities. The group meets once a month and does a variety of activities.
